Synapse Intelligence
Document Intelligence that runs on your own infrastructure
Synapse Intelligence helps teams search, manage, and organize knowledge, as well as define, execute, and automate workflows, from one governed workspace where humans & AI work together.

The Hidden Cost
of Scattered DocumentsDocuments live everywhere: shared drives, email inboxes, filing cabinets, branch desktops, that one folder only one person knows about. When your team needs the right answer, they ask a colleague instead of the system. Because the system doesn't work.
A staff member acts on an outdated Regulatory circular because they couldn't find the current one.
Audit findings. Remediation costs. Regulatory exposure.
ComplianceA new hire spends three weeks locating policies that should have been one search away.
Lost output. Slow time-to-contribution. Onboarding drag.
ProductivityA relationship officer fumbles a customer question on a product they should know cold.
Eroded confidence. Churn. Rising complaint volume.
Customer TrustYour compliance team prepares for an audit by emailing five departments for PDFs.
Days of avoidable manual work. Exposure to audit failure.
Audit RiskA tenured employee leave, and so does their knowledge.
No knowledge recovery path. Expertise siloed in individuals, not systems.
Institutional MemoryA policy document is reviewed over email, corrected across multiple versions, and nobody is certain which copy was finally approved.
Wrong version used. Approval confusion. Weak audit trail.
Workflow ControlA branch sends a document to head office for approval, but the file sits pending because ownership and escalation are unclear.
Delayed decisions. Poor visibility. Operational bottlenecks.
Approval DelayThat's Roughly 30 Full-Time Positions, Spent Looking for Things.

BEYOND SEARCH AND RETRIEVAL
Workflow
IntelligenceApproval Routing
Send documents to the right reviewer or approver based on department, branch, document type, or internal policy.
Review and Correction Loops
Allow teams to request changes, add comments, revise documents, and resubmit without losing context.
Native AI Agent Workers
Assign steps to AI agents that run inside the workflow itself — classifying, extracting, drafting, and checking documents — under the same routing rules, permissions, and audit trail a human step gets.
Version Control
Keep approved versions separate from drafts, corrections, rejected files, and outdated copies.
Renewal and Expiry Tracking
Track contracts, agreements, licenses, policies, and documents that need review before expiry.
Audit-Ready History
Maintain a clear trail of who created, reviewed, changed, approved, accessed, or published each document.
Deployment &
Data ResidencyYou choose where Synapse Intelligence runs, where documents live, and who can reach the keys. On-premise deployments keep both the corpus and the index inside your own boundary.
Deployed inside your own boundary
Documents and indexes stay in your network. Model access is yours to configure — a local model, or a provider you already hold an agreement with. Neither the licence nor an update needs a route out, so a fully air-gapped install is a supported deployment rather than a workaround. Three ways to run it:
Your own physical infrastructure — installed on servers you own, in your own facility.
Your own cloud tenant — deployed into your AWS, Azure, or GCP account, so the subscription, the storage, and the region stay yours.
A dedicated deployment in our cloud — a single-tenant instance we provision and operate for you, isolated from every other customer at the infrastructure level.
Hosted and operated by us
The same platform, run as a service, for teams that would rather not operate infrastructure at all.
Runs in certified data centres, operated and maintained by us.
Tenant isolation enforced at both the application and the storage layer.
SaaS Enterprise adds a dedicated, isolated tenant and a contracted SLA.
How your data is protected
Keys held under managed control
Client-encrypted data is protected through a key management service. Every key access is recorded — who requested it, and the reason it was released — so key use is auditable rather than assumed.
End-to-end encryption for critical documents
Documents you designate as critical are encrypted on the client before they are ever transmitted. No key is stored on our side, which means we cannot read them and cannot be compelled to.
GDPR practices
We follow GDPR practice across data subject rights, retention limits, records of processing, and breach handling — applied to every deployment mode, not only the hosted one.
SOC 2 — in progress
We are working towards SOC 2 certification. It is not complete, and we do not claim it as though it were. We are happy to share where the programme currently stands.
PLATFORM CAPABILITIES

Reduce duplicate work by creating a shared institutional knowledge base.
Find Answers in Operational Context
Search documents, metadata, and records using natural language.
Retrieve relevant information during service, review, and decision workflows.
Use AI-assisted answers grounded in approved organizational knowledge.
Govern Access, Versions & Audit
Manage who can view, update, approve, and control documents.
Track version history, revision lineage, and document changes.
Maintain access logs and audit trails for compliance-ready operations.
Workflow & Approval Management
Configure review, correction, approval, and publishing flows.
Assign owners, reviewers, approvers, deadlines, and escalation paths.
Track pending, approved, rejected, returned, expired, and archived documents.
On-premise is a flat annual licence with unlimited seats, priced by capability rather than headcount. SaaS is priced per seat on graduated bands from a minimum of five, with AI credits, OCR, and storage billed on usage.

† 62 hours per person per year × 1,000 people. Forrester's Total Economic Impact™ study of an AI work platform, commissioned by Glean in 2025, measured 60–70 hours per user per year recovered from document search — the time a unified search layer gives back, which is what “lost” means here. 62,000 hours ÷ 2,080 hours per full-time equivalent is roughly 30 positions. The ROI figures on this page describe that study's composite organisation — a 10,000-employee firm at 93% adoption — and are not measurements of Synapse deployments. Read the study.
